About Skaile

Skaile acquires and holds established businesses in western Canada. We buy companies that already work, keep the people running them, and put capital and attention where it moves the operating result.

The name is built from our family. The bar is a single column of a bar chart, and the shape of the province the first two letters come from. Both stand for the same thing: a business in the black.

Operating discipline, not restructuring

Most small businesses give up margin to work that software now does better — scheduling, billing, pricing, reporting. We apply modern tools to those functions rather than cutting the staff who hold the customer relationships.

Assets that last

We favour businesses with real property and long-lived equipment, and we maintain them. Deferred maintenance is a cost passed to the next owner and to the site itself.
